farewell

It isn't often that we have a party at work, but one of the office staff was leaving the company. It was a bittersweet day.

Good because we were having yummy cake.

And we weren't working.

And I got to play with Miss Madeline (a co-worker's daughter).

Please pray that I have enough strength, motivation, and energy to make it through the next month.

Elena's Birthday

For Elena's birthday, we went to the Roger Williams Zoo in Rhode Island. During most of the afternoon, the rain was heavy but didn't slow us down.

I thought I had bad hair days....

I love technology. But I love handwritten notes and packages so much more. There is something so powerful in sending a thoughtful gift and it landing on a loved ones doorstep.

Something that went over well at our house - - so we are passing a few along.

Essentials for my mother - candy, makeup, and a note.

And a few things for the little boy who has touched our heart. Connor will be two in a few weeks!! And we couldn't resist the presents in the yellow paper. I'll give you a little hint - - his wonderful mother (my best friend Sara) will appreciate them as well. Okay, so maybe not a great hint, but she reads our page so I don't want to spoil the surprise.

game day

Eric plays softball with our church league. Grace Fellowship has proven to be a team to beat. Not only out in the field, but also in team spirit.

(this was my craft surprise)
